My grandpa talked about stringing their own electricity down the road to their farm. They used horses and steam engines. In his lifetime, he got to see electricity, cars, TV and internet become commonplace. Wild!

These stories were my absolute favorite part of my job as a home health CNA. So so interesting, each and every one. Former fire chiefs, farmers, society ladies, military wives, etc. Such fascinating stories.

She is so sharp for 95! These were some of my favorite stories learning about when my grandma grew up. She also grew up in the country on a farm. My mom chopped cotton all summer with her brother to save money to buy 1 bike to share.

I needed to hear your grandma more than you know. My grandmother passed away this past year at 81 years old and she raised me like her daughter. She was born and raised in the country in North Carolina and I could listen to her for hours when she would talk about growing up. This was as if she was sitting right here next to me ❤

What was her favorite childhood memory or friend, and how did they pass time or have fun? I work in senior living, and a lady once told me she rode her mule almost 10 miles to go buy candy. She didn’t tell her mom and was only maybe 8 or 9 yrs old. 😂
