Weak back muscles. I pulled my back out for the first time at 18. It took me getting in a car accident (not my fault) at work and being mandated to go to physical therapy to realize this was the root of my back issues. Try doing yoga and back strengthening exercises

mine started to feel better when I stopped cracking it for like 3 weeks. even when the pain got really bad I would leave it alone in hopes that it would be worth it after the fact and so far I feel much better.

It used to happen to me and i realized my mattress was to soft . I’ve bought a futon a thin and harder mattress ( not a futon coach ) and problem solved.

stress can be a big part of chronic pain, could be your mattress, maybe also look into ankylosing spondylitis (basically spine arthritis)
