They look like "big baby shoes" because babies' feet haven't been misshapen by shoes yet. They are the correct shape for HEALTHY feet. Your toes should spread when you walk.

I have sensory issues and never really put together why I’ve always preferred sandals or being barefoot until recently. I get so sad when the weather get chillier and I have to wear “real shoes” bc I hate how my feet feel squished.

I know these are all the rage now but I have been wearing wide toe box shoes for over a decade. I realize they look like toddler shoes, but the comfort is unparalleled. silly looking shoes is a small price to pay ❤

You are actually supposed to have wide toe boxes as like you said this is how are feet designed. Also, this is why you get corns, bunions, etc. because when you walk your toes spread out which normal shoes don’t allow your feet to do.
