What are your thoughts on petroleum jelly? Dont hate me 😅 but i always used that for my tattoos and really liked how it helped my healing process.

I always remember what my first tattoo artist told me “don’t over do it bc most of us just dry heal ts” so I typically wash 2-3x day at most, thin layer of aquafor for big projects. For smaller work like that I’d also only use lubriderm

I just got my tattoo on Thursday (about 48 hours now). I’m scared of putting it on too soon. I couldn’t really get saniderm like I normally do because of the placement so I’ve just been very careful and making sure I clean it. Should I start lotion today or wait a couple more days? It’s still a bit sensitive but getting better.

1st day a&d 2nd-4th day hustle butter then non scented lotion my favorite is aveeno fragrance free the oat helps soothe. once youre in the itchy phase and need some quick hydration and won't have clothes over the tattoo for awhile maybe at night while watching TV chillin.. add a layer of hustle butter on it..Will take the itch away for a bit of relief. but its hard to wear clothing with hustle butter on because it doesn't soak in so your clothes will just rub it off. but its good for healing and as needed. Just what I do.

The last artist I worked with says "always Curel, never Aquaphor or Vaseline" I would use Cereve but bought Curel and I'm never going back.

baby me used A&D (showing my age there) now days my artist has me use coco butter from the start the very next day. they heal so good compared to my previous process.
