someone else had a good theory: they're trying to make it into a social media platform so they can sell ads and justify the billions they've poured into various AI ventures. but the bubble WILL burst and OpenAI is the single point of failure.

Basically the first move for these guys is to attempt to replace creative pursuits, which only a super uncreative person would want to do. Like, making art puts people in a hyper rewarding flow state... so let's replace that? Dude, make AI a bio-tech industry!

The is a wild race to the bottom thanks to tech oligarchs desire for accelerationist social collapse. There’s literally not one good reason for this type of AI. The only point is to make us doubt everything we see and prevent individuals from uniting against the authoritarians.
