Rotten onions are possibly the only thing worse than rotten potatoes.

I love the “pulling her out of the water,” explanation. Cleaning tok has helped me so much in that aspect. It doesn’t have to be perfect it just needs to get done.

I needed to see this video today 😭 The one thing I always acquire too much of is food. I just took two trash bags of stale food out to the dumpster after watching this

Living with Boomer parents who were raised by grandparents that survived the Great Depression.. Yeah.. I’ve had to work REALLY HARD to break generational trauma hoarding and depression. About every 1-2 weeks I rage clean and purge.

My childhood home was far worse. I wish my mom would go to therapy. Her home has been condemned but she still lives there. Her fridge broke years ago. It’s still there, full of food and she got a mini fridge.

I love your analogies, humor, and explaining the psychology behind hoarding. It helps me to have more empathy for the situation. Keep up the awesome work!

Thank you for explaining that. So many don’t understand that people don’t let their house get this way without a mental health issue. Years of trauma and ptsd.

You have a wonderful way of being realistic about hoarding while being kind and non-judgmental.

I'm so glad you explained the reason why hoarding happens. as a metal health sufferer myself, I have a huge struggle with house work. but if u don't suffer from mental health issues, u just can't comprehend it.

I would say the core trauma to almost all horsing cases is traumatic loss. Loss of trust/love/sustenance be that associated with a person, place, object, source, or esoteric link.

Do you have any suggestions to get stains out of a OLD fiberglass bathtub? It’s clean - but it doesn’t “look” clean 😕

This looks especially tough. For the same reason food addiction is tough. You can't stop bringing food into the house completely.
