Charlie is really a great actor! I couldn’t believe how he changed his whole look and personality to this character. I didn’t see the real picture of this man Charlie was playing until after I saw Charlie in the movie. Wow… amazing! I hope he gets an award for this. ❤

He was mentally abused by his mother and physically abused by his father. Head trauma is a real thing and affects how people act too. He was pulled out of school to work on the farm. So he wasn’t as educated and he was socially isolated. His brain wasn’t normal. He was extremely sick and he hallucinated a lot. His lack of violence after being medically treated speaks for the level of his sickness. His illness made him a monster. It doesn’t mean he wasn’t one. It means he was severely ill
