Same thing! It took going to MULTIPLE specialists and finding being accepted to Mayo Clinic to receive MULTIPLE diagnoses. As soon as the doctor walked in he said he knew what was wrong with me, after 8 years I finally have a treatment plan

I was in car accident and FIVE doctors cleared me for work. Kept searching cus the pain was horrible. Found a doctor that listens, and I get surgery on the 21st. My accident was LAST November. Time off of work and restrictions at work would of prevented surgery and the next 5 months off of work at 65% pay. (which after taxes, insurance etc is like 20 percent lol) So yay, me.

I just self referred to Mayo this morning because I'm exhausted that my 10+ doctors here won't acknowledge the issues I'm screaming for them to look at...HEDS is one.

My second opinion saved my life ! I was told I had an eating disorder and it turned out I have SMAS ! And now gastropresis !

the first orthopedic surgeon i went to said that me dislocating my knees would get better after puberty and that i didnt need surgery. the second orthopedic surgeon i went to 4 years later immediately suggested surgery because he saw how i sat on the exam table and clocked me sitting with my knees facing each other
