The cats there have been spayed/neutered, as most of the residents are elderly. The town wants to make sure people are still there to feed the cats. So if people want to move there, the town will be happy to know that there will be more generations to take care of the cats. The town does not have alot of businesses, and is known for fishing, and the cats love to sit at the ocean wall and wait, because fishermen will share fish with the cats. The island would be great for people who do business on the internet. No, I don't live there (wish I did!), but I have seen recent videos and documentaries on the cats.

i’m afraid that soon going to be a myth now because there’s not a lot of people that live there so they neutered all over the cats or spayed all of them so now there’s only like 80 cats living there as of 2024
