@yomarperez78: I believe the technician should be paid what they're worth hourly. I know that at times, being a shop owner, business can get slow. I think a happy medium will be paying a technician hourly and flat rate. possibly having a tool cage for special tools to alleviate the burden on the technician of having to buy tools that they're only going to use once. also making working 8:00 to 5:00 a standard. the technician has the option whether to work overtime or not. Work-Life balances is important. time pass by so fast these are a few things.

I own a shop. Mon-Fri 40hrs a week, AC, health care, hourly pay, I provide all tools besides hand tools, etc etc. it’s not hard honestly. Just treat them like humans, they have a very hard job and iam genuinely grateful for them.
