Jason Redman served 21 years in the United States Navy, including 11 years as an enlisted Navy SEAL and 10 years as a commissioned SEAL officer. At the age of 17, on September 11, 1992, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and began his military career. During his first assignment, he worked as an Intelligence Specialist in support of Naval Special Warfare while preparing for the opportunity to attend Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training. Through dedication, discipline, and consistent performance, he earned the chance to enter one of the Navy's most demanding training programs. In 1995, Jason reported to Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, California. He successfully completed BUD/S Class 202, followed by SEAL Tactical Training (STT) and the remaining qualification pipeline, earning the Navy SEAL Trident. Upon graduation, he was assigned to SEAL Team 4, where he began serving with Naval Special Warfare. During this time, he completed multiple overseas deployments in support of international security and regional stability missions, gaining valuable experience while continuing to develop as a leader and teammate. As his career progressed, Jason became recognized for his professionalism, leadership, and commitment to developing others. He later served as a training instructor, teaching Basic Land Warfare, communications, reconnaissance, navigation, and small-unit leadership to future Navy SEALs. His desire to take on greater responsibility led him to pursue a commission through the Navy ROTC program at Old Dominion University. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, he was commissioned as a Navy officer in 2004 and returned to Naval Special Warfare as a SEAL officer. Following his commissioning, Jason joined SEAL Team 10, where he led specialized Navy teams during multiple overseas deployments in support of U.S. national security objectives. His assignments required careful planning, sound decision-making, close coordination with joint and coalition partners, and the ability to lead under demanding conditions. During this period, he also completed the prestigious U.S. Army Ranger School, further strengthening his leadership skills and professional military education. In September 2007, while leading an overseas mission, Jason was seriously injured while on duty. Despite his injuries, he remained focused on leading his team and helping ensure the mission was completed safely. His determination, resilience, and dedication to those he served alongside became defining qualities of his military career. He then spent several years undergoing rehabilitation and recovery, demonstrating extraordinary perseverance throughout the process. Rather than ending his service immediately, Jason returned to active duty after his recovery and continued serving the Navy in leadership and staff assignments. His experience and mentorship helped develop future leaders within Naval Special Warfare, allowing him to continue contributing to the mission beyond operational deployments. Throughout his career, he earned numerous military decorations in recognition of his leadership, professionalism, and dedicated service. After more than 21 years of honorable service, Jason Redman retired from the United States Navy in 2013 with the rank of Lieutenant. His military career reflects a lifelong commitment to leadership, resilience, teamwork, and service to his country, leaving a lasting legacy within the Navy SEAL community and inspiring future generations through his example. Thank you for your honorable service and sacrifice for our country.🇺🇸 #specialforces #usnavy #navyseal #military #navy
