🙄...generally I agree with using wooden slabs because its even done for residential houses in Europe and America...but Ugandan civil engineers need to develop standards that are acceptable by building authorities. building technologies change over time to make construction faster and cheaper and also at the same time maintaining safety. I cant understand why we dont evolve over time and adopt such technology as building anything in Uganda is so expensive and wasteful. you find someone casting a residential slab in a very expensive way that can even be used to carry heavy vehicles while the average person just weighs 70kg....total waste of building materials

but isn't one 4×4 Timber more expensive or equivalent to a 12mm iron bar?actually the iron bar is 38ft compared to a 20ft Timber
there is one little thing people should know and put in consideration about the behaviour of timber which most technical people ignore or else things might fall apart
