It was 1988. I was 6. I stood as look out while my god brother and cousins jumped a fence into a cow pasture. Bull got loose and chased them. We all ran and jumped back over the fence. The bull ran THROUGH it. Chased us half a block. Our parents' reaction? "That's what yall bad butts get! Bet you won't do it again!" WE WERE SIX!!!!

I cut my foot half off litterally and didn't go home for 2 hrs bc I knew how mad my parents were going to be. I didn't go home until the pain became unbearable and I couldn't walk. I had to hop on one foot while my cousin held onto the hurt side. I don't think I made it all rhe way but after I was sewed back together my brother would torture me by grabbing my foot and saying he was going to bust it back open. And yes. I know as many dead as I do alive at this point and the numbers go up daily. The world isn't the same place. it is much more wicked and deceitful. Death is at everyone's doorway now. I hate that out kids and grandchildren have to grow up in this evil world

We took the cap off bottle & quit drinking when we passed out or the 5th was gone (usually the 2nd), my mama or daddy said “walk it off when I got hurt”,We’d get in fight in parking lot then be friends with same B that azz I whooped. We been through addiction, prison, & loss of friends. GENX is still #JUSTSURVIVING❤
