@mo.and.the.jungle.shelf: It's been two years since we got the keys to our home. We honestly thought doing it up was going to be a breeze. We'd done renovations before, we had a really strong idea of what we thought it would cost, and we didn't think there'd be any hidden surprises. And now, two years later, we've done most things, but there are still a few jobs to do. Doing this house up really took a lot out of me, mentally, emotionally, and financially. I think with experience comes pressure. More expectations on you. That need to get everything right, planned, perfect. And there were a lot of dark days: stress, hopelessness, despair. But when I look back now, that's in the past. And I do still look around and think wow, we did it. But I'll tell you one thing: I don't ever want to do it again. There's still a part of me that feels that trauma, that dread, that anxiety. #housetransformation #homedecor #beforeandafter
