I admit that I've been to lots of places in Spain and Portugal and I just can't see any "striking" difference between them. Most people are light/olive skinned with dark hair/eyes, but you can find light hair/eyes everywhere. My great grandmother was from Cádiz. She had blue eyes and blonde hair, and I've met other Andalusians just like her.
