seems like a lot of extra wear on the tires especially on the inside tread. I think normal chains would be better

They help but arent as good as a set of chains and you have to be moving for them to really work. If you're stuck in a slick dock, they dont do much.

I have these on my semi truck, I also drive backroads in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. They work, not as good as a full set but grocery stores need to be full and some loads we can’t wait out a storm.
