It’s that way by design, it was a political choice made a long time ago, the highway does not exist because they want to limit travel as much as possible. This would not be some miraculous engineering feet by today’s standards, it’s simply a choice not to build the road.

interesting video, thank u for your content. side note tho- im from seattle, it isn't even in the top 50 usa cities in terms of inches. almost everything east of the Mississippi gets more. its really grey with a little drizzle alot of days per year. its not that much rain tho
