I bought a new flock of pigeons. One had an eye infection, so I separated him and treated it. Within 3 days this bird started to look forward to being around me and likes to jump on my lap. So funny how quick they tame down. Very underrated pet. I don’t recommend birds for a lot of people, but pigeons are definitely one that I would suggest to anyone seriously considering a pet bird!

Its literally bird racism! I have never gotten a negative reaction when showing people my white pigeons, but I cant even imagine what people would say if they looked like the default pigeons 😭 I have heard so many negative comments about default pigeons and it breaks my heart

Me, super shocked in Spanish, when I asked how to say dove in Spanish and they kept saying “pigeon” and I kept insisting they were not the same animal 😂

not so fun fact: the pure white doves that they use for weeding are being held in a small cage their entire life and when they are led free during the wedding they don't know how to survive in the wild. if you live close to a church and there are white doves around, it's because they cannot travel far because they don't know how. they are not free.

Pigeon :

Both dove and pigeon can refer to pretty much any member of columbidae, they're synonymous. only difference is dove is Germanic and pigeon is latin
