Hungary was not helped by anyone in europe that day, only mercenary forces came and the whole army at mohács was 20-25k strong. The transylvanian forces didnt even arrive in time, which was around 30k. And at the start of the battle the favour was in the hands of the hungarians so much that they completelly annihilated the ottoman left, and threatened the Sultan's bodyguards even. But unfortunatelly the charge lost its momentum and the much larger ottoman army overwhelmed the hungarians
