@mmurmaider: Traveling with a mountainbike isn’t necessarily hard, but it does suck… here’s some tips on how to make sure you don’t end up with a disaster at your final destination: -protect your bike with @RideWrap ! This will protect it while traveling, riding and shuttling! - Using a bike box instead of a bike bag saves weight so you can pack… well not enough things you need but more things you need as a bike and a bag usually weighs 27kg alone which leaves no room for bike gear and other things you might need - tape the bottom of the box and around the handles of the box so it doesn’t fall apart! - make sure to keep the axles of the wheels in the frame - wrap clothing or kneepads etc around your pedals, brake levers, fork and other areas that need extra protection - remove the rotors and wrap them in clothing as padding, use socks to tie the clothing around the rotors - if the box is too short to keep the rear wheel on: remove the derailleur or chain tensioner or it will probably get destroyed… - don’t forget to drop an AirTag into your box so you know where your bike is! (I used two in the video because one is flat and I don’t know which one) Do you have any extra tips to add to this list? Comment below 👇
