Hi all — to answer a few questions: this trip was with residents in a remote part of Alaska (not commercial), near Wrangell. My Alaskan friends and I deeply respect and advocate for conservation efforts, and the local game wardens (most locals in the area have direct relationships with them to support their work) do an incredible job protecting the area. To confirm, we only took two crabs and the video captures moving them from the nets onto the boat to select the two we were allowed to bring home (the regulation is one crab per resident). As a nature lover, the only way we get to enjoy these wild places is by respecting the laws, the animals, and the environment around us — especially given the vulnerability of the king crab population. If you ever have questions, please feel free to ask 🩵
