@artem_pankovich: Check Engine on Skoda Octavia 2.0 FSI — What We Found Inside! • In this video, we’re working on a Skoda Octavia Mk2 with a 2.0 FSI (BVY) petrol engine — the first generation of 2.0-liter direct-injection engines. The owner came in complaining that the Check Engine light came on, and the engine lost power and responsiveness. Diagnostic tests revealed an error related to the camshaft position sensor, which is usually caused by a stretched camshaft chain or a faulty camshaft adjuster (VVT unit). • It was initially planned to replace the VVT unit, tensioner, and timing chain, but after removing the valve cover, we found that both camshafts were severely worn and required replacement as well. The video shows the complete process of replacing camshafts, installing new hydraulic lifters and rocker arms, and fitting a new timing belt kit (belt, three pulleys, and water pump). • We also remove the intake manifold to access the high-pressure fuel pump.
