agree. most ppl in Europe aren't nearly as ambitious as Americans. it baffles me how my partner's siblings and cousins (all french and only lived in France) lack ambition. my partner is different because he moved to the US for undergrad and grad schools. like they're okay with their less than $3k monthly salary. they're not trying tk go back to school to get more certificates or degrees etc. but it's also because they have a good balance between work and life

J'adore les hommes Francais, hell I married a US French Canadian man almost 30 years ago, and our daughter is about to graduate University in Paris...but interestingly she has been dating a handsome German guy from Berlin for the past several years. He works hard, takes her on vacations, they go on 25 mile bike treks, play golf, go to dinners, parties, etc., and most importantly, he treats her like Gold! Plus his Grandfather takes her to the Opera, lucky girl, which truly warms my heart. I love the South of France so much and although still working, my hubs is older and ready to spend 6 months a year there. Gurl, sign me up tout suite! I defintely was not ready for that lifestyle when younger. I totally hear what you're saying, and you will find your person by following your own passions in life! My Mother always told me this and sure enough, I met my husband at an Art Opening almost 30 yrs ago...(was based in NYC as a Contemporary Art Dealer at the time)...et voila! 🤩
