A general outline I follow goes like this: 1. intro on topic, 2. history/background on topic, 3. current state of the topic, 4. impact on society/industry, 5. future of topic, 6. conclusion

Write about a topic that makes you angry. (Whale farming, statistical analysis of foster care, etc). When you’re angry, you’re passionate. The writing will come easy

two weeks is plenty of time u got this ! Start with just writing down ideas you want to prove, write statements and then find sources to back it up. & then with essay formatting it gets to 5 pages easy

try your best to pick a topic that interests you, find reliable articles (SOURCE THEM ASAP BEFORE U FORGET), outline each article to fit your point, type type type, edit it later only worry about having words on the screen, have source page at the end, pick correct font + size, edit, done

Intro paragraph. 1-3 paragraphs of background info (depending on topic). First point and it’s supporting details. Second point, etc etc. then 1-3 paragraphs of conclusion explaining how the points tie back into the original topic and background info.

Search for articles related to ur topic and whenever u read one put a link to it in a separate doc and drop in any quotes from it u think might be useful (w page number). If u wanna do extra effort, write a few sentence summary of the article u read n how u can use it to support ur argument — whenever i did that it helped LOADS but i was also lazy in school so i didnt always do it lol

Go to your school’s library. Talk to the librarian. They are trained on research and this type of thing. They can help you with the databases needed to find reliable, peer reviewed sources. Then go to your school’s writing center if you’re having trouble creating the outline, getting the flow right, etc.
