Ed is a tragic example of how environment shapes a person. I’m not excusing his crimes, in any way, they were horrific! but when you look at his upbringing, isolation, and abuse, it’s clear that circumstances can warp someone’s life. Imagine if he’d had support, therapy, or just a healthy community maybe even, the outcome could have been entirely different. Context matters, even with monsters tbh.
