For anyone new here — I developed gastroparesis (stomach paralysis) about 2.5 years ago as a complication of CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome), which I’ve lived with for 14 years. After trying feeding tubes and other options that my body couldn’t tolerate, I was eventually placed on TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition). TPN is IV nutrition that gives me all of my calories, fluids, and nutrients directly into my bloodstream through a port in my chest. My formula is made in a lab each week based on my bloodwork, and I infuse for 18 hours a day.
