i've seen a lot if videos lately about this. i'm probably in the 'overdetailed' category as well but i truely like to color like this more 😭 i'm working on a flat/detailed one right now and i'm glad the flat part is over so i can get back to those detailed parts 😁 and i do not do it to compete AT ALL, i actually take so much inspiration for all the lovely art there is in this community. and that includes the flat coloring! they still use gorgeous color palettes and details that i can get inspired by! 😍

I’m so glad someone addressed this, I’ve seen so many videos saying how intimidating the colouring community is becoming because people are trying to compete with each other, I don’t see colouring like that at all, it’s never a competition, to me colouring is art and every artist uses different techniques and styles, I love using markers with acrylics and pencils on my pages to me that is relaxing, also love this page 😍

😯 I can't count how many times I watched this I am obsessed. I don't know how anyone could have a problem with the way you color. I saw that someone asked you to do a tutorial on the pictures on wall. Cam you also show how you made the fur look so real amd how you did her face? I am new to this so I am trying to learn all the techniques.

I had a couple comments like this too on my pages. I don’t understand why people are so negative like it’s affecting them to add detail and spend a lot of time on a color page! Can i just happily color the way i want to and post it because i’m proud of it?? Blows my mind. Love that you responded, I have been planning a post too for awhile now cause the comments are just so wild to me. I cannot fathom hating on someone over how they choose to do a hobby (one that isn’t hurting anyone). Anyways this page is beautiful and keep coloring because you are amazing and have always been so supportive with helping others and sharing your techniques.

i’ve been hearing a lot about people getting upset over detailed pages but never actually see the comments in the wild and seeing it now is crazy to me!! negativity in colortok is always so odd to me like coloring is art and art is subjective?? there is literally no wrong or right way… girl, just color?! i promise you, it’s okay to do your own thing 😭 but what is not okay is putting people down for how they color… keep it cute.
