I use white vinegar instead of fabric softener now and then. Neutralises odours and (I think?!) helps to gently strip detergent build up. Is that correct Ann?!

I'd appreciate some help, I've got a front loader which I've had from new. It's a good brand, I clean it regularly. Sometimes on the first rinse an awful smell comes from the machine.Ive tried everything to stop it. Any idea's on what it could be?❤

Fabric softener is hydrophobic, meaning it repels water. I stopped using it, because I felt like it prevented my clothes from actually getting clean. My clothes smell fresher than ever. Have you tried that fabric rinse that goes in the softener slot, that’s supposed to break down all the detergent and softener build up?

got a new washer dryer recently, it came with a big tub of liquid, only needs a teeny tiny bit per 10kg wash, im convinced im set for years with that bottle

so folks washing machines used to do 4-5 rinses in the 70s and 80s and used half a tub of water to do so. Most modern machines don't rinse for toffee especially if you overdose ☺

Never used fabric softener. Break your machine faster as it builds up. Vinegar and little bit of soap goes long way

When detergents build up in your clothes, thats often what holds onto odors and makes your clothes feel "dirty" with normal wear. Most people use way too much laundry detergent!

I don't use conditioner for about 5 year. I recommend not using it! The clothes last longer, are cleaner and soft over time

I do it the ann way and use a minimal amount and use more oxy powder than I was under your instruction too. my washing is much better and still smells lovely. Fanks Ann 🖤

I have to add about 10litres minimum of water to every wash, modern machines are legally responsible to use as little water as possible. If anyone has a machine pre 2020, KEEP IT
