Not only the brain — it’s consciousness. Yet this discovery is too radical to define reality through equations alone. It’s arrogant to pretend we know, and just as blind to stop imagining. Science cannot apply its formulas to the 85% unknown and 95% unseen universe, nor can it grow by rejecting what it cannot measure. Knowledge should invite wonder, not close the door on new perspectives. Let every voice contribute its own interpretation, every mind explore its own truth — for understanding expands only when different visions are allowed to coexist.

Micheal Levin is the living proof that we need brilliant minds to think outside the box. It's also pretty clear when you read neuroscientists like Erik Hoel or work in the field that neuroscience is in its infancy despite what some neuroscientists claim.

neurons does not have a cell wall. only a membrane made from fat and proteins. microtubules give the inside structure of the cell.

Fortunately for us, not for him, his speculations were also subject to the same scientific method all science must be. In neuroscience it was basically debunked & remains so by consensus within the neuroscientific community. I strongly suspect that what happened was he didn't understand neuroscience nearly well enough to form a theory that was sufficiently valid within what was known about neuroscience then, & likely now too. It was & likely remains a pseudoscientific theory based on his pack of neuroscience knowledge.
