Read that again. Somewhere along the line, “Graduate Trainee” stopped meaning someone willing to learn and started meaning someone already expected to know everything. I came across a job opening recently. The role said: “Graduate Trainee.” Sounds fair, right? Then I kept reading: “Minimum of 4 years experience required.” And honestly, I had to pause for a second. How exactly is a fresh graduate supposed to already have years of professional experience before getting their first real opportunity? This is the reality many young people face today. They study for years, learn skills, build portfolios, take online courses, apply endlessly, and still get rejected because they lack the very experience they are trying to gain. Everybody wants polished professionals. But very few people want to train people into becoming one. What happened to mentorship? What happened to learning on the job? What happened to giving people space to grow? There is nothing wrong with companies wanting competent workers. Every organization deserves excellence. But growth and competence go hand in hand. The best employees were once beginners who were given a chance. A graduate trainee position should not sound like a senior role hidden behind an entry-level title. Training is supposed to mean development, guidance, and opportunity. Sometimes, one opportunity is all a person needs to change their entire story. Because behind many “inexperienced applicants” are talented people simply waiting for someone to believe in their potential before demanding perfection. #TheLostandCode #DesignInspiration #fypviralシ #fypppppppppppppppppppppp #graphicdesigner
