@mumspace: Many parents notice their boys talk later — and worry something’s wrong. But science shows it’s usually just a difference in brain development and focus. Keep talking, reading, and connecting — they’re learning more than they show 💬 #BoyDevelopment #SpeechDelayAwareness #ToddlerMilestones #Mumspace #LanguageDevelopment
This made me feel so much better thank you. It’s nothing at all against my son or thinking there’s anything wrong or “slow” with him. I feel like it’s more a reflection on ME. What am I doing wrong or I’M not doing enough that someone’s else’s child the same age or just a few months older is able to say or do so much more than my son. It’s always a mom guilt thing

My 16 month old can repeat so many words and knows over 100 words. I talk to him like I would anyone else and narrate EVERYTHING we do. This is the key to promoting language skills. Talk to them & they will listen!💗

My son only has about 26 words and he’s 2 next month. Very physically advanced though. Can walk down the stairs without help or support, can stack 8+ blocks, can kick a ball and throw a ball, etc. he’s an only child and it still makes me worried because so many kids know 50+ words at his age

Here's a secret you can share with a fellow parent, Children (eventually) talk when they are talked to/engaged... Not talked at / told what to do. 😊
Name everything, describe everything, in simple grammatically correctsentences & have as much time as you can with them. Maximize bath time, feeding time and bedtime to build language and vocabulary. ❤

My first born son was such a early talker he was even saying words before he turned one. My second son spoke so much later and I used to be so worried but it just shows every child regardless of gender develop at their own pace
