@aylagirl99: Idk. So yeah I try and have my grace. She says sometimes she can’t tell the difference between a circumstance that is “the scoop” and one that is more serious. There was a time she brought me to a dinner party and was encouraging me to tell a girl friend of hers I don’t know about my poly dating life… ugh. feels weird to feel like entertainment in a context I don’t want to be. If she views me as an exciting train wreck, im not sure she can also be rooting for my success… #friendbreakup #fakefriend
I’ve learned to trust that feeling. The fact that she was dismissive and defensive rather than trying to understand and repair says a lot

There are issues that can be worked out and talked through in friendships so that both parties can grow and change those patterns. Breaking trust and celebrating your struggles are not among them.

I feel you and it sucks. I'm interested in the psychology behind it b/c it feels like they're removing themselves emotionally. Does it have to do w/ wanting to feel superior? A lack of empathy? Getting triggered & creating distance?
