Spent 17 hard years as a Ford Dealer tech. It's the only job i know of that the more certified you become the less money you will make. I was a Senior Master for the last 4 years before I chucked the deuces.

I worked at ford for years! I’ll never work there again. I loved ford before I started working there. Go to Midas you will make 3 times the money and gravy work.

I work for a large corporation and we made the switch from Ford truck to Chevy and GMC trucks not the best ones but we got fed up with the FORD quality

as a career machinist, I can vouch for the fact that ALL of us tradesmen are severely under paid. especially if you work on cars or houses 😂

Exactly I left Ford service as a master tech back in 98 when they no longer paid for diagnosing, they made us parts changers and paid us .2 hours to do recalls that sometimes took half a day

Not just ford. Subaru warranty pays 2.8 hrs to R&R an engine in a 2019 BRZ. That’s get the keys drain and fill all fluids and refrigerant and park the car all done after R&R an entire engine. Meanwhile the corporate people are banking and not getting dirty. FAFO dealers

I have one of them pos escape in my shop right now 1 125.000.00 miles it blew the engine up I replaced it the new engine lasted 3 weeks and lost conpresson in cylinder 4 so im replacing the engine again i hate working on Fords

lack of local competition is keeping wages down, price for a repair up, and frankly, customer service from the stealerships sucks.
