Licensed Esthi here and this is the main thing I fix w my clientele. This is called dehydrated acne. You need to double cleanse every night w a gentle, non active cleanser for 60 seconds each cleanse (sounds insane but trust me) and use a hydrating, non active moisturizer morning and night. Exfoliate (azelaic, lactic are my fave for dehydrated acne) 2x a week maximum. I truly change their skin w these tips and I see it daily.
