Young Smith :
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that that when a person dies, their spirit leaves the physical body and goes to the spirit world to await resurrection. In the resurrection, which will happen after Christ’s Second Coming, the spirit is reunited with a perfected, immortal body — meaning the same body a person had on earth, but restored and glorified. So in heaven, yes — you will have your actual body (including your brain) back, but in a perfected, immortal form. It’s not a new or symbolic body; it’s your real physical body made whole again. So you can exist as just a spirit but you are happiest and most complete with spirit and body reunited.
