Coming from 29 years of experience, That’s the harder and incorrect way to install pad. You have to use pad glue on the floor and use pad tape on the seams of the pad. All of the staples are to much work and make it so hard for the next guy to remove all of the staples. And stapleing the seams like that leaves little divets and dents that you can feel through the carpet.
