@sculptwithpaul: Had a coaching call with my client Ken today. He's going on vacation, and he was worried... Because usually he enjoys having 4-5 drinks a day while on vacation. He was worried I'd tell him he was being crazy, that he would ruin his gains and progress... But do you know what I told him? That... shocker... it's ok to have different vibes while you're on vacation. I know some of the fellas on here act like they never have a drink. That alcohol is this deadly poison.... please. Humans have been drinking alcohol for many generations. And it's ridiculous to think that a week with 15-20 drinks is going to be this health damaging, gains ruining, "getting you fat" event. Now, do I recommend drinking every day? No. Do I recommend drinking 4-5 drinks on a regular basis. Not generally, no. But I'm a human. My clients are human. Sometimes the BEST thing to do is to let loose for a few days. Most people vacation 1-2 per year, tops. It's the other 48-50 weeks that are going to move the needle. Not these 2-4 weeks... so God forbid you have a few drinks and get a little tipsy. Enjoying your life is the foundation of everything. If your coach is telling you to live like a monk... why do you need a coach at all? Just eat egg whites and stare at the wall until the next training session!
