@forever_victoria_: How I actually grew my hair long and kept it healthy People always ask how I managed to grow my hair so long so here’s everything I actually do. It’s not about luck or genes. It’s about consistency and how you treat your hair every single day. 1. I stopped cutting it. I trim only about one inch once a year. You can’t expect length if you keep chopping it off all the time. 2. I take hair vitamins. Good quality supplements really help with growth and thickness especially when you take them consistently. 3. I color it minimally. When I was blonde, I bleached only once every six months. The less you bleach, the more your hair can actually grow. 4. I constantly repair it. I do deep treatments and nourishing masks regularly. Hydration and protein balance are everything. 5. I wash it every 3–4 day not more often. Overwashing strips the scalp’s natural oils and those oils are what make your hair strong and shiny. 6. I never get my hair wet in pools or the ocean. Maybe once every six months at most and when it happens I wash it immediately and do a deep care routine after. 7. I protect it while sleeping. I either braid it or wear a soft cap and I always sleep on silk pillowcases. No friction no breakage. 8. I don’t use straighteners or hot styling tools. Heat destroys length over time. I let it air dry or use the lowest heat possible only when really necessary. 9. I massage my scalp daily. It improves circulation and stimulates hair growth. I usually do it for a few minutes before bed or while applying oils. 10. I exfoliate my scalp. Gentle scalp scrubs or peeling treatments keep follicles clean and allow new hair to grow stronger.
