The risks of massive job loss have been well-documented. And even worse, A.I. is becoming more uncontrollable by the day, evidenced by the experiments done throughout this year where A.I. went rogue. Not just threatening to blackmail, but also letting a human die to protect itself. Despite the risks, the race to build this technology continues at a reckless pace. Instead of slowing down, and considering over many years how to build this technology ethically, we’re building with no plan to deal with the consequences later.
