If this was the case the sun would come out in the East and at Midday would be in the North or South and and in the evening for Sun out. We have the terms Sunrise, Sunset and High noon for a reason. The sun comes up during the day, rises high in the sky at noon and goes down at night. In the model on this video the sun and the moon for that matter would have to go up and down like they are on a roller coaster to achieve that as they move across the Earth. However their places and direction in the sky would be vastly different.
