correct , i had a spare speed feed head loaded with line in the garden shed . Over the years the line had become not pliable so when i used it on the line trimmer the line would not feed out when i bumped it . Put new line in and the problem was solved

get a snap lock container and just leave it in the water all the time. I have one in the shed and in the trailer

Why don’t you just get a bucket? Draw a hole on the lid and fill the bucket with water and leave it like that?
