@therealsideoffour: I’m heartbroken and angry. No child should ever feel unsafe at school. I don’t want to keep watching mine lose his spark because of someone else’s cruelty. ❤️🩹 Parents… how do you handle it when your child is being bullied? We really are contemplating pulling him out and going down the homeschooling route - any tips welcome!? 🙏🏼🤍 #homeschooling #bullying #momtok #motherhoodunplugged #childrensmentalhealth
Smack the mother in the mouth and the kid will soon learn 😊

Personally, bypass the school and take it direct to the parents. Do not hold back & sort it there and then.

I moved him schools, turns out his bully also changed schools, bare in mind this has been the last time Im allowed to move him, it’s also a 25 minute walk everyday as we don’t drive. Had meetings with the council etc. my son woke up one morning, told me he didn’t want to be Alive anymore, he is 7, I called my neighbour and she sat with him whilst I waited outside of school for the parents of the bully to arrive, laid the mum flat out. My son hasn’t been strangled, bitten, glasses broken, even spoken to since I did that and I have no regrets, I now have a record, but he doesn’t want to die anymore. Not sure if this helps.

Honestly I feel like we should talk to the parents. I think the school should put us both in touch and let us figure it out. Cause I don’t think a single parent wants their kid to be a bully, hell I think most bullying situations are just miscommunications (not all, but a lot)

We homeschooled for 3 years because of bullying and it was the best decision ever. I will never regret that choice.

We homeschool and personally, there is nothing positive that your child will learn that has a positive impact from public schools. We do cooperatives and extracurriculars. He loves having his own schedule and couldn’t care less about going to a public school.

We homeschool. I taught high school for six years in three states and you would be horrified at the things happening in public schools.

I contacted the school the first time my daughter told me she was being bullied. I told them to sort it out or I would going to the parents directly. The boys are now on report cards and their parents notified. If it happens again, god help those children.

Put him in a combat sport. Jiu jitsu, wrestling, or similar. It’ll help build up his confidence as well give him strength and skills to stand up for himself. But also, pursue it yourself, as far as necessary, until the appropriate action is taken.

My youngest daughter was bullied by her FRIENDS in high school. I pulled her out before she decided to do something drastic. She ended up doing online school and graduated early.

Talk to the school tell them they have a day to sort it or you will meet the other parents at the gate

My son developed tremors at a coping mechanism from bullying. It was so bad he missed 3/4 of 8th grade. We pulled him out and moved to another school district and now he is healthy, happy and coping very well!!

I found out who the parents were and confronted them. Straight to the root of the problem. Got tired of dealing with the school.

Definitely go direct to the parents. It's harder than parents realise to sort bulling within school.

Tell your child to go to the office and call you everytime something happens. Then you go up there and call the police to file a report eventually you'll have enough proof for a restraining order...the school will take it more seriously when you get law enforcement involved.

We did, in fact, pull and homeschool because after multiple offenses and repeated attempts to get it solved, nothing was done.

Ask, tell, warn, make….ask them to stop, tell an authority, warn them what will happen next time (this can be optional 😉), make them stop….

You fight for them. You go every time there is an issue. You wear THEM down not let them where yall down. Dont say “it will only make the bullying worse.” Because it’s going to get worse regardless unless you expose them, cause the scene. Not confrontational? Get that way. For your baby.
