I get it- people don’t like it. But they caught my friend’s killer. The guy shot him, dumped his body over the side of a bridge and stole his car. With these cameras they caught him within 8 hours. Without it he would have disappeared. I’m grateful for these for that reason.

100% illegal, unless there's suspicion of a crime being committed, collecting information from your property is theft with the intent to sell said information. reading the tag is one thing, but bringing up bumper stickers and other personal info to save means illegal intentions
