I have taken NDT, naturethroid and armor, since my TT in 2009 and the ups and downs with it is still by far better than how levo or Synthroid makes me feel. Thanks for talking about thyroid, lots of people still don’t know and suffer. Can you talk more about testing and thyroid panel interpretation please?

I didn’t learn anything new. After having a total thyroidectomy because of cancer, I had a heck of a time getting a medication that would work for me because most doctors I saw assumed they knew my body better than I do. They would tell me the synthetics were working, but I was depressed and needed another medication for that. I was bedridden and miserable. So, I did my own research about other treatment options and finally found a doctor who helped. Sadly, I had to pay THOUSANDS of dollars out-of-pocket because his practices were considered alternative and unreliable. By some miracle, I was led to an ENT who specialized in thyroid treatment and he was able to turn me onto NDT that my insurance covered. It’s been 11 years now, and I feel better than I did before I even knew what my thyroid was.

Armour works best for me as I have no thyroid and it works with both T3 and T4. Ya had me at Armour Meats though...

I read that these are going to be banned sometime in 2026 years if they aren’t approved by the FDA and I’m concerned because I have good luck with them.

I’ve been taking NP thyroid for seven years and they’re going to take that away from me and it’s going to destroy my life. My body won’t use levothyroxine.

my mom spent years misdiagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, ended up being a hyperactive parathyroid, took years to figure out, kept blaming her for eating too much calcium.

I was prescribed levo and liothyronine for my Hashi/Hypo. It was awful. I was switched to NP and was so grateful. The thing about us with Hypo is that We are not a one size fits all bunch. So limiting us to what the FDA wants is a joke. If it has worked since before the FDA was around with minimal adverse reactions (compared to others the FDA has approved) why would they want to remove it? we need people like you advocating for us and not for the FDA. I get that the purpose of this video is to educate about dessicated thyroid hormone but the connotation is negative about these drugs. These medications help more than they hurt.

when I switched from Synthroid to thyroid (desiccated thyroid meds, not Armour), my brain zaps went away, as did the head in a fish bowl feeling, I lost weight, had energy... it was someone hit a button for living live in high definition mode!!! even my attention span etc improved 🙌

ya know... i wish you would talk to this dr that without confirming with a blood test, saw that at one point in time i had been on 75mcg of synthroid and instantly needed me on 300 mcg or she wouldnt fill my controls nor my digestion meds... i got thyroid storm
