When a sentence begins with words like When, If, While, or Since, the subject of the independent clause is often understood you — the one doing the action even if it isn’t written. It’s a fun discovery moment, and it actually helps with comma placement! Yep, Miss James is still Wednesday and I’m still strolling. But I promise I’m gonna go to bed in another 2030 minutes.
