as a chinese guy I hate to break it to you but unless a chinese guy is from Guangdong, we don't eat bugs. those stalls are mostly for foreign tourists as a money grab. look at the expression of those Chinese teenagers and you will realize they don't routinely eat bugs either lmao.

Fun fact: Peppers 🌶 aren't native to China, Japan, Korea and other basically all of Asia. Peppers come from The Americas, The majority of them from Mesoamerica (Mexico, and central america)
So all this spicy food Asian people are Pros at eating nowadays, did NOT exist a few hundred years ago. While its become a norm in Asia to have some Heat in their food, the reality is. They've just started eating it, compared to Mexicans and other American groups.
Asia eating spicy peppers 300-450 years. Native Americans/Mexicans 10,500-12,000 years and thats just when they started cultivating the spicy veggies. Peppers have been around in the Americas for millions of years.
