nah fr theres something definitely up. I recently noticed my shelf bread didnt have mold after like a month, but the fresh stuff ive been getting from the bakery will mold in week. I dont remember my shelf bread lasting this long.

I started baking my own bread for this exact reason, a loaf fell behind some cans and was forgotten for MONTHS - not a speck of mold, and that freaked me out. Now I’m a weird little gremlin with my sourdough starter 😅

Also if you’ve kept the bag closed and haven’t been opening it it will mold slower. Also mold isn’t always green, if there’s any white spots that’s also mold.
