Prison does work. It separates the bad from the good. Keeps our streets safe. If we were ruthless on crime and put all the gangs away, much of the issues would be sorted. The money the gangs make on drugs would be back in the hands of families. Ms-13 El savadoor is classic example. One bad apple ruins the bunch so get rid of it.

I've been saying this since I was young enough to understand. these systems are not working. chucking our young in to a prison where they learn much worse is never going to be the way to go. I got custody of my ex's nephew at 19 so he wouldn't end up in the system because I always knew ot would never care for him the way we would. things have to change from the inside out our youth need support & guidance more than anything.

I think there argument more comes to the conclusion that blaming things doesn’t change or do anything getting up and making change does because the things that people blame have a genuine argument to it but at the end of the day that argument is only useful if there is something gained at the end

Me & sis had a massive fight about that fullas post only because I can’t speak like you so my point never got across. Us Māori are smart af when we’re free to abide by our own tikanga, values & connected to our Māoritanga. kurakaupapa is a great example!

i think about how Paris lives and how her whanau live within a close vicinity together where they are able to live off the land, grow food, learn and be within embrace the maori culture there. just think if all our whanau were to live like her whanau , other whanau can live like that to if they have the resources there to help them thrive . the government wouldn't allow this because whanau would be thriving within their culture and community. as a kuki i speak with as much respect 💓

I agree with your points about prison not necessarily promoting rehabilitation or preventing reoffending, but when it comes to any form of violent crime, absolutely 100% you do the crime, you do the time, you have no place in society.

Look I hear their message and agree to most of it, but these guys are on Facebook, Instagram, and here. They know these subjects builds followings. So I'm not sure if they will show us they are doing real on the ground solutions for what they preach or just taking the likes for income. Yeah not sure. Agree with a lot you just explained.
