He’s never heard of a dash cam commercial vehicle caps city vehicles in the list goes on I’ll have dash cams that record cars in front of them. In case of an accident, but it’s well documented. But you hear the tone of this officer that is something dirty to take a picture of a license plate of a car in front of you at a red light. With that car in front of you showing license plate he wants to make that illegal a crime and he’s trying to get there.

Cops have ANPR tech in their patrol cars that scan license plates of every car they pass.. this is legal. So then you can certainly record plates in public with a regular camera.
