Normal people don't buy gold for speculating and making profit. It's to safe a constant value over decades. And if you only want to have this safety, the goldprice can drop, but this is not a problem. But yes, if you are investing for making money, it will hurt you very bad. I think the drop could happen, after Trump is out of office.
